Lei XU was born in Tianjin, China. He first got a BA in cinema from Hong Kong Baptist University, then graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art, UK. As an artist based in London, Lei focuses on exploring the nature of technology and how it affects reality and human existence. Besides, he is also interested in a wide range of freedom-related topics. Through his artwork, Lei explores and exposes a new type of dialogue that makes humans return to focus on themselves and reawaken from this alienated world. Now he is working on topics related to life, trauma, and human existence.
